Ajay Bhatt was an Indian born computer architect. He was born in September 6th 1957 and is still alive today, at the age of 65. Not much is known about his education but Ajay Bhatt attended The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda where he got is master’s degree. Once he received his master’s degree, he joined Intel in 1990 as a senior staff architect working to create an amazing project. Working in Intel, Ajay Bhatt created the Universal Serial Bus, better known as the USB. In addition, he developed the Accelerated Graphics Port or AGP along with the PCI Express. Just to name a few. When researching Bhatt, I found out that even though Intel holds the patent for the USB, they chose to keep the product royalty-free and open to everybody. Bhatt’s work has had a major impact on the computers and electronics in many ways and every time you plug in a USB and have to flip it over and try again, think of Ajay Bhatt.
